Northern Gaza | A Genocide within the Genocide
A COMMUNITY APPEAL
“…They feel deserted, hopeless and alone. They live from one hour to the next,
fearing death at every second.” (Phillippe Lazzarini)
The Zionist siege of Northern Gaza is now close to twenty days of vicious non-stop bombardment. A blockade of food, water or medical care has resulted in untold human suffering, disease and death, with bodies left lying under wreckage of buildings, or on the streets.
On Sunday, at least 90 people were killed or went missing under debris, following an Israeli air strike on Beit Lahiya. At Jabalia Camp, Palestinians were given illegal expulsion orders, yet Zionist forces opened fire at the fleeing, killing dozens of refugees.
The Zionist army is denying entry for any civilian recovery teams to clear bodies or deliver humanitarian assistance. According to Phillippe Lazzarini, the UNRWA Chief, “People are just waiting to die…”
We however cannot lose hope in the Justice of Allah, from Whom we beseech Divine Intervention and succour.
JUSA requests Imams to read the Qunūt Nāzila in the Fajr Salāh and to supplicate after every fardh salāh, for the victory of the oppressed.
We appeal to our communities to:
- Turn to Almighty Allah with sincere repentance [tawbah] and ask for forgiveness [istighfar].
- Create awareness within our homes by spending time as family, in dhikr [with such recitals as those of Ayah Karīmah, La hawla wala quwwata illa billah and Tasbīh], Tilāwah of the Noble Qur’ān, and du’ā.
- Intensify acts of devotion such as salāh, fasting and giving sadaqah.
- Avoid all forms of transgression and disobedience which bring displeasure to Allah I.
May Allah bless the resistance, ease the pain and suffering of the people of Gaza, and grant martyrdom to the fallen. Āmīn.
