Following confirmed reports of moon-sighting, the United Ulama Council of South Africa has determined that Rabi ‘al Thani 1446 has ended with 29 days.  Consequently, in South Africa, the 1st day of Jumaadal Ulaa 1446 is Sun 03 Nov 2024.

The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa’s Central Hilaal Committee acts on behalf of UUCSA in the coordination of the sighting of the moon. The next sighting of the moon for the determination of the start of Jumaadal Aakhirah 1446 Hijrī, shall be on Sunday 01 December 2024. At sunset in Johannesburg, the Hilâl will be 10 Hours 25 Minutes, in-sha-Allah.
