There were no reports of moon-sighting during the evening of Sunday 1st December 2024. The United Ulama Council of South Africa has therefore determined that Jumaadal Ulaa 1446 will end on Monday 2nd Dec 2024, with 30 days.  Consequently, in South Africa, the 1st day of Jumaadal Aakhiraah 1446 will be on Tue 3rd Dec 2024.

The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa’s Central Hilaal Committee acts on behalf of UUCSA in the coordination of the sighting of the moon. The next sighting of the moon for the determination of the start of Rajab 1446 Hijrī, shall be on Tuesday 31 December 2024. At sunset in Johannesburg, the Hilâl will be 18 Hours 36 Minutes, in-sha-Allah.
