The sighting for the start of Sha’baan 1446 shall be on Wed 29 January 2025.

If sighted, 1st Sha’baan 1446 will be on Thursday 30 January 2025. Otherwise, Rajab 1446 will last 30 days, with 1st Sha’baan 1446 falling on Friday 31 January 2025, in-sha-Allah.

UUCSA will announce the official results of moon-sighting after confirmation procedures have been completed during Wednesday evening, in-sha-Allah.

We urge all Muslims and congregations to go out and seek the sighting of the moon, according to the Sunnah for the determination of the starting and ending of the Hijri months.
