The sighting for the start of the month of Safar 1447 shall be on Fri 25 July 2025.

If sighted, 1st Safar 1447 will be on Sat 26th July 2025. Otherwise, Muharram 1447 will last 30 days, with 1st Safar 1447 falling on Sun 27th July 2025, in-sha-Allah.

UUCSA will announce the official results of moon-sighting after confirmation procedures have been completed during Thursday evening, in-sha-Allah.

We urge all Muslims and congregations to go out and seek the sighting of the moon, according to the Sunnah for the determination of the starting and ending of the Hijri months.
