The sighting for the start of Rabi al Awwal 1446 shall be on Tue 3rd Sep 2024.

 

If sighted, 1st Rabi al Awwal 1446, shall be on Wed 4th Sep 2024. Otherwise, Safar 1446, in South Africa, will last thirty days, with 1st Rabi al Awwal 1446 falling on Thu 5th Sep 2024, in-sha-Allah.

 

UUCSA will announce the official results of moon-sighting after confirmation procedures have been completed during Friday evening, in-sha-Allah.

 

We urge all Muslims and congregations to go out and seek the sighting of the moon, according to the Sunnah for the determination of the starting and ending of the Hijri months.
