JUSA Stands with Dr Imtiaz Sooliman
A STATEMENT OF SUPPORT
The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa (JUSA) stands with Dr Imtiaz Sooliman, the founder and director of the Gift of the Givers, against the allegations emanating from Zionist interlocutors who claim that through his charitable initiatives, he has supported terrorism.
Dr Sooliman and the Gift of the Givers’ philanthropy and humanitarian work have been recognised across the globe, from Haiti to Indonesia, through Africa and the Middle East. Dr Sooliman’s integrity, compassion and remarkable tenacity in helping those in need has inspired scores of South African state and non-governmental agencies who over the years have supported the Gift of the Givers due to their unquestionable record of delivery.
Allegations against Dr Sooliman and the Gift of the Givers are an extension of the Zionist war against women, children and innocent civilians who are all “Hamas” and have to be “eliminated” in carpet-bombing campaigns and daily massacres.
Back in October, Lawrence Nowosenetz, former chairperson of the Jewish Board of Deputies, wrote in a letter in an Israeli paper denying Dr Sooliman’s humanitarianism. It represented a new low in the vile Zionist agenda of silencing anyone coming to the aid of Palestinians. It was a calculated refusal to recognise the humanity of Palestinians. To many, the letter reflected an expression of willing participation in the on-going dehumanisation of Palestinians.
More recently in a piece by one Marika Sboros, a charge of antisemitism has been levelled against Dr Sooliman. The piece is part of an obscurantist project, whose timing could not be accidental. It is a well thought-out diversionary attempt to muddy the waters of the talk of the charges of genocide and heinous war crimes, which the Zionist entity and its leaders stand accused of, at the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.
Dr Sooliman is among those who challenge the narratives where the aggressor becomes the victim. As such, his crime is standing in the way of the Zionists’ intended goal of ethnic cleansing Gaza, in part, through the use of starvation as a weapon of war, ironically due to which Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant are now wanted at the Hague.
JUSA rejects these notions and antics where each one who raises his or her voice against collective punishment, ethnic cleansing and war crimes has to be silenced.
