Following no confirmed reports of moon-sighting, the United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA) has determined that Sha‘bān 1446 will end with 30 days on Saturday 1 March 2025. Consequently, in South Africa, the 1st day of Blessed Ramadān 1446, shall be on Sunday 2nd March 2025, in-sha-Allah.

The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa’s Central Hilaal Committee acts on behalf of UUCSA in the coordination of the sighting of the moon. The next sighting of the moon for the determination of the start of Shawwal 1446 Hijrī and Eid-ul-Fitr, shall be on Sunday 30 March 2025.
