Due to no confirmed reports of sighting of the #Hilaal, the United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA), determined that in South Africa, Rabi al Thaani 1444 will end with 30 days on Friday 25 November 2022. It follows then that 1st Jumaadal Ulaa 1444 corresponds to Saturday, 26 November 2022.

The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa’s Central Hilaal Committee acts on behalf of UUCSA in the coordination of the sighting of the moon. The next sighting of the moon for the determination of the start of Jumaadal Ukhraa 1444 shall be after sunset on Saturday 24 Dec 2022. At sunset in Johannesburg, the Hilâl will be 30 Hours 46 Minutes, in-sha-Allah.
