Due to confirmed reports of sighting of the #Hilaal, the United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA), has determined that in South Africa, Dhu al Qa’dah ends with 29 days this evening, 30 June 2022. It follows then that 1st Dhu al Hijjah 1443 corresponds to Friday, 01 July 2022. Eid Al Adhaa will be on Sunday, 10 July 2022, in-sha-Allah.

The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa’s Central Hilaal Committee acts on behalf of UUCSA in the coordination of the sighting of the moon.
