Due to confirmed reports of sighting of the #Hilaal, the United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA),  determined that in South Africa, Rabi al Awwal 1444 ended with 29 days on Wednesday evening, 26 October 2022. It follows then that 1st Rabi al Thaani 1444 corresponds to Thursday, 27 October 2022.

The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa’s Central Hilaal Committee acts on behalf of UUCSA in the coordination of the sighting of the moon. The next sighting of the moon for the determination of the start of Jumaadal Ulaa 1444 shall be after sunset on Thursday 24 Nov 2022. At sunset in Johannesburg, the Hilâl will be 17 Hours 46 Minutes, in-sha-Allah.
