JUSA Delegation Visits KwaZulu-Natal

PRESS STATEMENT
(For Immediate Release)

 

A delegation of the Jamiatul Ulama South Africa (JUSA) visited Kwazulu-Natal between Friday the 4th, and Sunday 6th September 2020 in order to meet and interact with representatives of several Muslim organisations, institutes, business-persons and other Muslim leaders from the region.

 

The delegation which included executive members of JUSA, was led by the president of the Ulama body, Moulana Abbas Ali Jeena and Moulana Abbas Ali Zubair Ali, his deputy.

 

During the journey, apart from prominent Muslim leaders and individuals, the delegation had the opportunity of meeting the following organisations:

 

• Jamiatul Ulama (KwaZulu-Natal)
• Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre
• The Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah (Sherwood, Durban)
• Darul Uloom Newcastle
• Madrasah Taleemuddeen, Isipingo Beach
• Darul Quran, Ladysmith
• Muslims for Humanity
• Association of Muslim Accountants and Lawyers (AMAL)
• South African Muslim Network (SAMNET)
• Minara Chamber of Commerce

 

In the meetings, the delegation discussed recent developments within the Muslim community; lessons that need to be taken from these developments, and the importance of mutual cooperation in matters and challenges facing Muslim communities and leadership, locally and abroad.

 

JUSA expresses its appreciation for the reception and warm hospitality the delegation received during this visit as well as the sprit in which the discussions were conducted in the various meetings.
