With the Jamiatul Ulama South Africa’s experience over a number of decades with respect to the stereotyping of men and the resultant effect thereof, our Social Department, in conjunction with the Islamic Careline, has embarked on the establishment of a separate counselling service that will be manned by male counsellors with the primary focus on the male client.

 

The service, named Caring Brothers, has been in operation in its pilot phase during the past year. This launch is a special and unique moment in the history of our organisation and community.
