The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa’s Central Hilaal Committee acts on behalf of UUCSA in the coordination of the sighting of the moon. The next sighting of the moon for the determination of the start of Rabi ‘al Thani 1448, shall be on Friday 11 September 2026. At sunset in Johannesburg, the Hilâl will be 12 Hours 32 Minutes, in-sha-Allah.
